Grünlack
Hand harvest and gently pressure. Fermentation – 100% stainless tank. Aging on the fine yeast for 5 months. Characteristic: pale straw yellow. Wonderful aroma of ripe peach, mirabelle and apricot jam with a hint of caramel. The palate is fruity and well balanced with fresh lemon. An ideal accompaniment to fruity desserts with a slight sweetness such as an apple pie or matured Manchego cheese, Appenzeller served with fig mustard.
Gelblack
Hand harvest and gently pressure. Fermentation – 85% stainless tank, 15% wooden barrel – 1200 l (wood from our own “Schloss Johannisberg” oaks). Yellow – Green, medium depth. The nose shows notes of yellow stone fruit and grapefruit. The palate is juicy, fine balanced with a hint of sweet. The wine is highlighted with a pleasant minerals. Sea food, poultry, pasta and fresh cheese Pappardelle with grilled gambas.
Napa Valley Petite Shiraz
Estate grapes are blended with carefully selected fruit from southern and northern vineyards. Petite Shiraz is enhanced by diversity. Simple and traditional winemaking techniques practiced to showcase uniqueness of Petite Shiraz. Final blend includes Syrah, Grenache, Garignane and Mourvèdre. Aged in American oak (25% new) for 12-14 months.
Napa Valley Merlot
Crafted with grapes primarily from Oak Knoll and Yountville in the southern part of Napa Valley. Selected southern vineyards maintain varietal identity and exhibit fresh fruit character, structured body and bright acidity. Aged in French oak (35%new) fro 16 months.
