PPD Romania awarded by Gruppo Campari for its Aperol Spritz campaign
PPD Romania wins the award for the best BTL campaign execution in South East Region, at the Partnership for Growth Gala, held in Rome. This was the first edition of the internal competition that champions the best results of Gruppo Campari distributors.
During the summer of 2015 the campaign called 321…. You are the Brand Ambassador Aperol was activated both: online and offline. It lasted for 3 months. Its aim was to recruit the best Aperol Spritz fans and reward them with unique experiences.
Aperol team created the Aperol Spritz Mobile Bar that toured Romania and organized fan gatherings. It all started on the 1st of May, with a beach party in Mamaia, continuing with Bucharest, Brasov, Sibiu, Cluj, Iasi and Timisoara. The events brought together Aperol fans but also new enthusiasts that were introduced to the 321 recipe for the first time.
The events were of great success from a consumer experience point of view. Here are the numbers to prove it: 100 000 new contacts and over 6000 glasses of drinks sold during these 3 months.
The Facebook app was also activated, engaging users to test their online mixing skills and resulting in 6 644 selfies of their Aperol Spritz moments posted. There were 30 000 entries in the app, generating 5 310 virtual glasses of Aperol Spritz that followed the 321 recipe.
Other indicators also tell a successful story: 885 000 people reached on Facebook, 159 000 views on the YouTube channel and more than 150 articles and posts on blogs or social media.
The campaign also got featured on one of the most popular morning TV shows and went through a 60% leap in Google searches compared to a 2014 statistic. This effect was also visible in sales that grew with 71% versus those in 2014.
All these numbers, but also the people’s reactions, tell us that this light aperitif was the summer’s delight and that 321….Aperol Ambassador was a campaign that people believed in and enjoyed.

Η PPD Romania ξεχώρισε σε περιφερειακό διαγωνισμό της Gruppo Campari, μία από τις μεγαλύτερες εταιρείες παγκοσμίως στον τομέα των premium αλκοολούχων και μη αλκοολούχων ποτών, λαμβάνοντας το 1ο Βραβείο για την καλύτερη εκστρατεία BTL.
Συγκεκριμένα το βραβείο της απονεμήθηκε για την επιτυχημένη εκστρατεία «21…. You are the Brand Ambassador Aperol», η οποία περιλάμβανε online και offline δράσεις, διήρκησε για τρεις μήνες και στόχος της ήταν να προσελκύσει οπαδούς του Aperol Spritz επιβραβεύοντας τους με μοναδικές εμπειρίες.
