Don Julio 1942
Don Julio 1942® is a small batch ultra-premium Añejo tequila, named after founder Don Julio Gonzalez Estrada, who first distilled Tequila at the age of just 17 in 1942. It is aged for at least 30 months in American white-oak resulting in a remarkably smooth and complex taste.
OUR PROCESS
Don Julio 1942® is made with the distillate from Pot Still No. 6, which produces only three barrels per cycle. Presented in an elongated bottle intricately designed after the agave leaf.
Nose: Sweet aromas of caramelised cherries and tones of nuts, almonds and chocolate combine with exotic cinnamon and a light essence of oak. The vanilla fragrance is interestingly sweet and enjoyable.
Palate: A silky, smooth character that coats the palate with roasted agave flavours, vanilla, sunripened tropical fruits and spiced undertones to create a wonderfully unique tequila experience.
Finish: Beautiful, sweet agave-laced finish with lingering hints of oak and rich vanilla essence. A fullbodied creaminess, resulting from distillation.
