Established in 1963 with the acquisition of LEON—Cyprus’ oldest brewery— Photos Photiades Breweries brings decades of brewing heritage and expertise. In 1968, it became the first brewery outside of Denmark licensed to produce Carlsberg beer, marking a significant milestone in its growth story.
Today, its team of approximately 110 professionals operates Cyprus’ largest state-of-the-art brewery, passionately crafting a diverse range of products, including Carlsberg, Carlsberg 0.0, LEON, Krauzer Bräu, Sandy beers, and various malt beverages for export.
In 2022, Photos Photiades Breweries expanded its horizons, entering the Greek market with the acquisition of Siris Craft Brewery, a microbrewery located in Serres. Recognised as one of Greece’s pioneering microbreweries, it’s known for its unpasteurized beers, rich in taste and intense aromas.
In the same year, Photos Photiades Breweries reintroduced Militsa cider — the first cider produced in Cyprus and Greece. This cider is made from carefully collected local apples sourced from the Troodos Mountains and is available in two delicious varieties: Apple, and Strawberry & Lime.
Photos Photiades Breweries also bottles Agros Natural Mineral Water at the Agros Bottling Plant, the largest and most technologically advanced bottled water production facility in Cyprus. The brewery also produces ENA Juices (100% natural orange juice) and a series of five United Fruit nectars.
