Johnnie Walker, the leading brand of Scotch whisky in the world, announces the launch of a unique promotional campaign that will award six Romanian consumers with a once-in-a-lifetime experience: a ride in the famous Join the Pact Supercar, the Caparo T1 sitting next to two-time Formula One™ world champion, Mika Häkkinen.
Consumers can enter the promotion by sending an SMS to 1723 with the unique code available on Johnnie Walker bottles. The promotion is part of theJohnnie Walker responsible drinking campaign, Join the Pact, and will be available in hypermarkets across the country, from May 1st to May 30th, 2013.
The six winners will be announced on May 31st, following a lucky draw, and will have the chance to ride on June 5th next to Mika Häkkinen, the Johnnie Walker Global Responsible Drinking Ambassador who won his two world titles with the McLaren Formula One team. Mika will drive the winners in the famous Join the Pact Supercar, the Caparo T1, among the world’s fastest cars, which gets from 0-100mph in less than five seconds and produces more than 1000bhp per tonne. The event will take place by Kiseleff Street in Bucharest on June 5th, 2013.
Mika will be visiting Romania to share the important Never Drink and Drive message with local consumers.
Join the Pact is a campaign designed to encourage consumers to make a personal commitment to never drink and drive by signing the pact. To date just under one million people have pledged their commitment around the world with Mika playing a pivotal role in the programme as ambassador.
